What We Do
Our approach with work environment, workforce, and product development differentiate us from our competition.
What We Do
TEDI’s greatest resource are our staff and the collective intelligence they deliver. Our employees are vested stakeholders in the projects we are awarded. In other words, all staff are partial owners of projects they perform. Longevity and tenure are important and offering our staff a sense of ownership knowing their skills are valued is essential in our success. In doing so work quality and client satisfaction are consistently a differentiating factor from our competition.
The methods and technologies we recommend our clients are practiced and perfected at TEDI. Our agile development methods, use of TFS and SharePoint, and all other services are derived from our own need to use these methods and technologies to create new applications. Our Research and Development (R&D) teams create new applications for military, emergency services, and first responders. The methods we learn to perfect to manage R&D are the same we deliver to our Government clients.

Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Project Server
In association with the demands of Enterprise SharePoint, TEDI also provides services for integrating enterprise technologies including Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Project Server. Solution implementations including SDLC, ALM, ticketing systems, and others can best benefit when integrating these technologies with SharePoint. TEDI specializes in utilizing these technologies for a variety of purposes and can perform any customization to support those needs
Systems Development Lifecycle
Systems Development Lifecycle’s are the fundamental methods for Government application design. Additionally, each federal agency has specific needs whether around Agile, Waterfall, or O&M. We at TEDI work extensively with federal agencies in designing/developing their SDLC. We have customized process templates in TFS, SharePoint .wsp solutions, and a variety of document templates to facilitate a Government’s SDLC baseline needs and use these capabilities in customizing a solution to fit each agency.
Ticketing & Incident Management (Help Desk)
TEDI specializes in developing and maintaining custom SharePoint solutions to facilitate Line of Business (LOB) demands. This often includes complex .NET solutions and architecture, with both open source and Microsoft related technologies. Our focus as a technology firm is to deliver on the business demand.
Training & Education
OOTB SharePoint, SharePoint customizations, and custom applications are only as effective as the staff members employing the technology. Our intent with all engagements is to provide a didactic environment where education is the first and last step of the process. TEDI has developed and delivered training programs for Developers, Project Managers, Executive Leadership and other stakeholder roles. We exercise training within our own organization to promote staff and our Microsoft Technology Apprenticeship. Finally, we often host workshops at Microsoft and SharePoint conferences including SPTechCon and SharePoint Fest (http://www.sharepointfest.com/DC/homepage/277).
Microsoft Technology Apprenticeship (MTA)
The MTA is dedicated to providing information technology oriented college students the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in technology, business, and government. This includes the use of Cloud Computing, application development, collaborative technologies, and technical project management using such technologies as Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server, Project Server, SQL and more. Apprentices who are interested in the technology space, whether business oriented or custom development, can benefit greatly from the real world skills that will be developed during the course of the MTA.
