Content Overview

By supporting US Government Agencies and private sector clients, TEDI has developed templates to perform as starting points for many solutions and complex processes. These templates are often technological, process oriented, or both. Whether a help desk implementation, SDLC, SharePoint Governance or other process requiring a scalable approach, TEDI has a baseline solution to provide some guidance, direction, and quick wins within the Microsoft Community This site offers many of these resources for Government to access for free. The intent is to share knowledge to our constituents and also provide a window into our approach.


Help Desk & Ticketing with SharePoint

Automated help desk solutions are often complex and cumbersome. Our attached .wsp template is a SharePoint site collection with the workflows, webparts, alerts, custom site columns and other features needed for the baseline of a new help desk ticketing system. Instructions for use and our baseline SharePoint Ticketing Solution Design Document (SDD) is also featured with this download.

SDLC & Implementation Resources

Systems Development Lifecycle’s are the fundamental methods for Government application design. We often find these methods are antiquated and require significant overall. Additionally, each federal agency has specific needs whether around Agile, Waterfall, or O&M. We at TEDI have worked extensively with many federal agencies in designing/developing their SDLC. You will find TFS process templates and SDLC documentation templates to assist in this process.

SharePoint Online Governance

Governance is the set of policies, roles, responsibilities, and processes that control how an organization’s business divisions and IT teams work together to achieve its goals. Our SharePoint Online Governance strategy is intended to kick start a government’s SharePoint Online initiative. This includes our extensive SharePoint Online Government document and PowerPoint tutorials to discuss, collaborate, and decide on policies specific to the needs of SharePoint Online.

 

SharePoint Enterprise Governance

Much like SharePoint Online Governance, our SharePoint Enterprise Governance provides the ability to establish the policies, roles, responsibilities, and processes that control how an organization’s business divisions and IT teams work together. However, SharePoint Enterprise hosts many more architecture based components within its own environment. These requires additional policies and procedures for supporting SharePoint on-premise.

SharePoint Multi-Tenancy PowerShell Scripting (for secure environments)

TEDI has come across numerous niche on-premise requirements for hosting a secure environment. Attached you will find our baseline PowerShell scripts to initiate and kick-off a new multi-tenant SharePoint environment. Note, these are our baseline scripts and are generally updated for each client depending on their specific needs. Our administration of SharePoint environments is extensive and our array of PowerShell scripts are an indication of the demand behind SharePoint administration. Included are TEDI’s array of commonly used PowerShell scripts for supporting federal agencies. These range from basic PowerShell/SharePoint functions to complex administrative tasks.
